Job Offer: Senior Java - XML developer
We are seeking an experienced professional, immediately operational in Java and XML development and able to coach junior developers. As Synclude Romania becomes larger, this person will become the leader of the local team of developers.
Tasks
- Participate in software design and development (visit the software section on our Web site for more information);
- Propose and implement improvements to our software: (re)design ideas, new functionalities;
- Follow-up IT trends to identify opportunities related to our core business;
- Assist clients on site or remotely in exploiting the full potentital of our software;
- 2nd-line client support (bug corrections, testing);
- Manage the local team of developers;
- Implement the development methodology.
Ideal Profile
- Computer Science graduate or equivalent by proven work experience;
- About 5 years of professional experience in object oriented programming and design;
- You are able to share your knowledge easily with others.
Core technical skills
You are an expert in at least a couple of the following technologies:
- Java 1.5 language, standard libraries (collections, threads, reflection…);
- JSP, Servlet, Struts, Tomcat;
- Eclipse, Netbeans;
- XML, DTD, W3C XML Schema;
- XML DOM, SAX programming;
- XSLT, XPath;
- HTML, CSS, Javascript;
- CVS or another versionning system.
"Nice-to-have" technical skills
You have professional experience with some of the following technologies:
- Project/development methodologies (XP, UML/RUP, for instance);
- J2EE, Castor, Hibernate, Web development framework, AJAX;
- Eclipse plug-in development;
- XSL-FO, XForms, Schematron;
- Docbook;
- SVG;
- Open Source Software development.
- Some knowledge of other operating systems.
