eAIP Editors Course: eAIP Edition

Here is a description of the course "eAIP Edition", for electronic AIP Editors. For the other courses, please refer to eAIP Training.

Objective	To give participants direct ability to write XML documents in general, and specifically eAIP/eSUP/eAIC documents, using an XML editing software of their choice.
Content	Structured editing principles; XML editing software tools; Presentation of the choosen XML editing tool; The XML language; basic XML editing; basic HTML eAIP elements and attributes AIS-specific editing: eAIP, eSUP, eAIC Recommended Directories Organisation Making Amendments
Notes	This is a "hands-on" course, so each participant must have a computer to do the exercises. This course can be based on about any XML editor, such as Corel XMetal, Morphon or others. The actual content can be adapted to specific needs, in order to shorten or extend the course as required.
Requirements	The course is addressed to AIP Editors: some familiarity with the AIP, AIP SUP and AIC document structure is expected, though not mandatory; Participants should have attended the eAIP Introduction course, or have acquired the relevant knowledge. Basic document editing skills (for example, basic usage of Microsoft Word or Adobe FrameMaker)
Duration	3 days (fast paced, not very detailed) 4.5 days (normal pace & details; recommended)
