eAIP Editors Course: eAIP Production

Here is a description of the course "eAIP Production", for electronic AIP Editors.

Objective	To give participants direct ability to produce an eAIP in HTML and PDF formats, using EUROCONTROL-provided software tools.
Content	HTML procedure; Simple PDF procedure (for a quick preview); Complete PDF procedure for paper Amendments; Paper-specific considerations: past AMDT indications, strange results; Safety and security aspects.
Notes	This is a "hands-on" course, so each participant must have a computer to do the exercises. Also, 1 powerful computer is needed, with at least 512MB memory and a Pentium III processor (1GB memory and Pentium 4 recommended). This computer will be shared by the class. This course is not useful to users of our eAIP Publisher software tool, which greatly facilitates eAIP production. In this case, usage instructions for eAIP Publisher will be included during the eAIP Edition course.
Requirements	The course is addressed to AIP Editors: some familiarity with the AIP, AIP SUP and AIC document structure is expected, though not mandatory; Participants should have attended the eAIP Introduction course, or have acquired the relevant knowledge; Basic computer usage skills.
